[Hendrix] Stupid changes

You must have no concept of people working on small screens and I wish you did. That stupid middle of the and take up way too much space email header bar "From:, To:, Other actions" stuff should be 2 lines at most, smaller or adjustable fonts for this area only, and not hogging my screen like it is. Lanikai changes fonts in mid-message

Same problem as I have on TB 3x. This may help: It seems to happen after I have corrected a spelling mistake. Next sentence switches from Verdana (default) to what looks like Times New Roman. Odd that there are no messages about Lanikai on this group. None that I saw, anyway. Using TB 3 works. I can send and receive emails. I could post to gmane newsgroups with TB 2. Now I've upgraded to Fedora 12, which has 3.0 Beta 4, and I get this error message: Sending of message failed. Please verify that your Mail & Newsgroups account settings are correct and try again. No change in settings. Just upgrade from TB 2, and I can't post to gmane. But, weirdly, I can post to this newsgroup, yet the settings are the same. [Hendrix] Folders

Name: art Email: artm556atmsndotcom Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: Folders Comments: Some problem with the folders: Junk folder does not show up in the tree pane. Trying to create a junk folder to include in tree pane causes thunderbird to become unresponsive but recovers when right clicking on folder creation menu returning to original default opening and then allowing you to quit. If selecting "OK" on the menu with the default location of where to create the junk folder menu closes but again no junk folder is created. The default location is a subfolder o

Beta and RC releases?

Hi! Been using the great 3.0betas for about 3 months without any problems. I have noticed that it's fairly impossible to find the 3.0b4 on the mozilla websites. I have searched several Mozilla sites but can't find a single notice about the beta process or a download of the beta versions. With the upcoming RC I wish that the Mozilla websites all got a notice about the release and in the proximity of downloading Thunderbird 2.0 there should be a link to the RC/Beta releases. best regards ..staffan

[Hendrix] How to search just the current folder?

Name: Mark Dulcey Email: markatbutterydotorg Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: How to search just the current folder? Comments: In Thunderbird 2, you had two search options; you could do a quick search on just the current folder by using the search bar, or you could do a more extensive search using Tools/Search. In the release candidate there doesn't seem to be any way to just look for things in the current folder; the search bar now searches all my email folders. This is bad because I have nearly 2 gigabytes of email, saved over the last 15 years, and searchin

[Hendrix] Addressbook Integration

Name: Email: enemoursatgmaildotcom Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: Addressbook Integration Comments: It seems kind of akward that Thunderbird still uses it's own addressbook instead of simply accessing system addressbooks. Thunderbird should simply hook into macosx addressbook, windows addressbook, gnome addressbook etc. instead of offering ITS OWN UI for contacts. It was wrong after all to invest so much time implementing the osx addressbook hack into thunderbird instead of getting rid of thunderbirds addressbook entirely and using the systems addre

I do not run in safe mode. Running Vista Ultimate SP2. And since installing this beta, Thunderbird 2 version 2.0.0.23 (20090812)continues to multiply my email in only 1 account by 3. Name: Jared Thomas Email: jaredattechiedotcom Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: rc3.0B4 status bar info wrong after delete action Comments: Compose new e-mail and wait long enough for it to be placed in the drafts folder. (In this case, I spent about 20 minutes on it). Send the e-mail and switch back to the t-bird window prn. The status bar contains a message "xx messages deleted". In my case, xx was 21 even though only one draft was active. The "xx messages deleted" status also occasionally shows an incorrect number when I delete a message I'm viewing in

Compose e-mail in tabs? Notification issues?

Enjoying using the new beta- it works really well on my mac! My only real queries are, is there any chance to compose a new message as another tab in the main Thunderbird window, rather then in a separate window? Also, when I click the (growl?) notification in the top right, it automatically opens a new maximised window with the message. This doesn't seem to work very well for me, as I usually have two or 3 windows open on the same screen to ease my workflow. Is there any chance of not automatically maximising the window, as it never happens when I double click a message in

[Hendrix] thunderbird 3.0 tabs

Name: Sebbe Selvig Email: sebbeatrxdesigndotdk Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: thunderbird 3.0 tabs Comments: First of all, thanks for all the great improvements that have made it into thunderbird 3.0b4! I like the tab system alot, but there is one use-case where it annoys me. When I'm reading emails with multiple tabs open, when I close the current tab thunderbird goes to the tab next to the one I just closed. Instead I would like to see it to go the previous tab I had looked at. In a multi-message context, instead of going to one of the other open messag

[Hendrix] 64-bit please

Name: Brett Morrow Email: brettdotmorrowatnoaadotgov Product: Thunderbird Release Candidate Summary: 64-bit please Comments: I first want to congratulate you on an excellent product. I have been running the Shredder version for some time and multiple version, and the only issue was a change that seemed to do with Enigmail. Excellent work! I would like to request that you look at making the 64-bit (windows esp, but linux also) a part of regular distribution and testing process. I have been trying the one from this site is has worked much faster for me. Thank you. -

Loving TB3.0b4

I absolutely love TB3.0b4 and cannot wait to see it go GA. Only problem I have is with the latest Lightning. It doesn't behave like the previous version in terms of CalDAV. We use Zimbra and the new Lightning does not allow showing Free/Busy info whereas the old version did. Zimbra is aware of this and plans a fix in a future release but seems like maybe Mozilla changed something here that broke this functionality. Keep up the GREAT work Mozilla team! Thunderbird is an awesome mail client. The new search and index is wonderful! Clay
