Missing Accept/Decline buttons on meeting invitations I'm running Thunderbird 2.0.0.19, Lightning 0.9 build 2008091719 on WinXP. My boss sent me an update to an existing meeting. Sent from Outlook (2003, I think). Received through my GMail account. The contents come across in a pretty table. There's a "meeting.ics" file attached. At the top of the window, there's a big blue bar saying "This message contains an invitation to an event." and has a calendar icon. But what I don't see: I have no way to accept or decline this invitation. Can't find anything in the menus. Nothing apparent when right-clicking on the attachment. Printing a weekly view in Lightning Hello, I am trying to print a weekly view of my Lightning calendar. Since the "FG Printers" add-on (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/sunbird/addon/4648) doesn't give (yet) a clear view of overlaps in the weekly view, I am considering taking a screenshot of Lightning, and simply printing it (because this representation of events is perfect). Since it's not for me, I am looking a way to make it as easy as possible. Does anyone know if I can find an Thunderbird and/or Lightning add-on that would add a button and print the current window when this button is pressed ? sharing calendar Hi List, surely I am wrong somewhere cause I can't totally see this NOT working functionality both in Sunbird and Lightining. I can't find the way to share any Calendar, not an iCalendar neither a CalDAV. When I try to subscribe to a remote calendar it actually opens the same wizard used to create a new calendar. This could be fine but.. when I create a network calendar it doesn't work at all. I trying using both a FTP server and Webdav. I aldo tried saving the file on remote drive but it's the same. delete repeating event How do I delete all instances of a repeating event? Sunbird 0.2 did this by default, but Sundbird 0.3.1 deletes only the selected instance. If I attempt to edit a repeating event, I am asked whether to change all instances or just the current one. But I do not get a similar dialogue when I attempt to delete an event. Can I launch to calendar? I am using TB with the Lightning extension and find it brilliant. I created an extra shortcut and added the "-calendar" extension to start TB in Lightning, but it still starts in email. I am a user of over ten years experience with computers so I've checked all the "silly" things, like spelling it right, space before the extension, etc., but to no avail. FWIW I also have a shortcut with the "-addressbook" extension for obvious purposes, and it doesn't seem to work either. Lightning Calendar - Can you adjust time scale? I was just curious if anyone knows how to adjust time scale on Lightning. Mine defaults to 8am the first time I select on day or week view, however if I then view my email and go back to these views, it defaults to 12am. I would prefer just to set my own parameters (say from 8am-6pm) since I'm not usually using the calendar in the middle of the night. Suntray or Minimize to tray? Suntray set to open with Windows works fine and by rights I ought not to fiddle around with it. However, I thought I might make things uniform with FF and TB and use the Minimize to Tray extension with Sunbird. I shut down Suntray, installed MtT ext., but everytime I open Sunbird it opens TWICE. Repeatable event scheduler algorithm Hello, I'm looking for an algorithm that will be taking as an input cron-like repeatable event specification, eg. 00 * * * * * (meaning repeat on every full hour every day of every month and every year) and range: eg. (2006-12-01 12:00, 2011-12-01 13:00) and will produce a list of events that match the pattern and are in the specified interval. I looked in cron sourcecode, but their requirements are quite different and don't meet mine. What command-line form to load a ".ics" attachment? I've been using the Mozilla calendars (Thunderbird extensiont & SunBird) for several years now. I get ".ics" files as attachments in Thunderbird, which I save to disk and then manually import into SunBird. I want to be able to just click on the attachment and automatically have it import into SunBird. What is the command-line form of SunBird to pass the ".ics" file in? I tried sunbird --help but it only showed me the options listed down below. Sunbird erros, probs with Lightning.- all from application data folder. Ok, this is a long story, but I'll try to give you the shortest version i can. When I use the export ics button (installed with auto export extension) I get "JavaScript Export: Error!" Now the export is doing something, because I have rainlender looking at my ics file, and it is automatically updating task list edits. Best way to handle Outlook meeting requests in Lightning? I get Outlook meeting requests of the form below, and I was wondering what the best mechanism for automatically adding these to my calendar was. I considered patching lightning, but it seems to only (currently) notice emailed invites via a call out of the MIME handler when it discovered one (by filetype, e.g., ICS), not by textual parsing. Importing CSV files into Sunbird fails Dear all, I am trying to import a CSV file generated by Outlook into Sunbird - without success so far. Sunbird 0.3 performance much worse than last released Calendar Extension Hi, I have been using the Mozilla Calendar Extension to Firefox for a long time. Its performance was never good, but enough. I have two calendars, one about 160KB and one about 200KB, and reloading and displaying of the calendars would take about 1 second each (on ADSL2+ 16000). This was on Ubuntu Dapper with the last available Calendar extension on the Mozilla website (I'm afraid I cannot reconstruct the exact version number because it seems that the website has been taken down.) Install Lightning 0.3 Today I wanted to install Lightning, but it didn't work. I'm using Thunderbird 1.5.0.7 on Windows XP. I did as it was told in the release notes: 1. right click on the download, choose "Safe link as.." But it is no .XPI file, it's a HTM file So when I do step 2: opening the file with the "Extensions Manager" of Thunderbird it doesen't the file doesen't even show up as possible extention. Auto Publish Remote Subscription Updates I am using v0.3 (windows), and it seems that my first update to a remote calendar will automatically push the changes. network share calendar and contacts I am looking for a system that allows me to set-up clients on a network that have shared contacts and calendar. Is there a way of doing this with the Mozilla software packages? The users would only have one set of contacts (shared over the network) and then a public calendar plus their own private calendars. This is going to be to replace MS Exchange servers. Error reading remote calendar I haven't had Sunbird working for a while, but the last time I got administrator privilege, I tried again and it upgraded to 0.3a1. Defining an iCal Event for a non-local time zone I am working on a web application that exports Events in iCalendar (.ics) format. I would like the file to be imported by applications such as Mozilla Sunbird, MS Outlook and Google Calendar. I am having problems understanding how I can correctly but simply define a DATETIME that is non local. I have tried: DTSTART;TZID=/America/Chicago:20060920T091500 The intent is that the above defines a global standard (olson) TZID. But this gives errors when attempting an import into Sunbird etc. Must I also "define" the TZID? Importing into Lightning from Outlook I have exported to a csv from Outlook, but when I attempt to import into Lightning nothing seems to happen! The basics of Remote Calendar Hello, I am new to the calendar business so maybe I am completely off track in what I try to do. I want to work on the same calendar from my home and work computer so I put the .ics file on my website and set a remote access via ftp. Now, the lightening 0.1 can read the file from the ftp server and show events that are in the file. However, when I try to add event and to save it to the remote file, I get an error message ("Publishing the calendar file failed"). Am I trying to do something that is impossible? Sunbird show stopper Hi, I'm using the mozilla-calendar plugin for firefox and thunderbird, having an ical-file at an http-server. Sunbird won't run. I downloaded the current version and installed it over version 0.2. After running the install, nothing happens when I click on "C:\Program Files\Mozilla This is my work machine, and I don't have full privilege, but the installation appeared to work correctly - and I have done it a couple of days running with reboots in between. Publishing The only reason I have Sunbird is to be able to share my calendar. I publish my calendar to: http://icalx.com/public/HowardBrazee/ but haven't seen it updated in months. I have been re-publishing by hand a couple or three times per week, as I never got the automatic publishing to work, but now nothing works. Is the Calendar project dead? Lightning problems Hi, Using Lightning I have encountered these problems: .. If I put a task for a date and set the alarm to remind me two days before, when I mark "dismiss" the program doesn't remind me anymore. It would be interesting to have the possibility of snooze and have a daily remind of this task until it's not finished. It would be great to let do the same thing with events. Reminderfox has this option. .. I need to set up an event for every 20th day of January, April, July and October. Can I do this? What's the meaning of "Occurs monthly every third" in recurrence?
