Any current editor development? Is this group still valid??

Not a lot of valid messages here recently, I see. I am interested in the old Netscape editor (not sure if it is now part of some newer html editor project though). Is there any life in the old thing? Disable submit bnt untill completly spellchecked

Hi, Does a mozilla editor allow for a submit button to be disabled until the entire text is spelled correctly? Or all new words added to the dictionary? Would a requirement like this be easier implimented on the clientside with script or perhaps serverside aspell/pspell. Thanks in advance.

Mozilla web page editor (composer) bug

I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this very annoying bug in Mozilla Composer. If you switch to source mode and make any small edit, then switch back to Normal mode, the program inserts extra linefeeds into your source at random places. Each time you do any editing in Source mode and then switch to Normal view, this happens. Does the Mozilla team know about this bug?

Saving accents and umlauts using midas

Hi I'm incorporating the midas editing component of mozilla in our CMS tool. The problem I'm having is that when I save a page containing letters with accents or umlauts (I work for a German company) using JavaScript, it seems as if the page is being saved with the wrong encoding. Anyone an idea on how I can specify that these characters should be saved "as is" ? After the content is grabbed with .innerHTML it is passed to a java-servlet, which saves the actual page. greetz Rolf

I am immensely happy to report that Nvu 1.0 went live an hour ago. As usual, it's available from the official site [1] or the official mirror [2] for Windows, Mac, Linspire5, FC3, linux 2.6.10, and for the first time Mandriva. I modified the startscript for debugging (SET -x) Then when the the last line for real start ist executed (run-mozilla.sh from the NVU-Dir) I have 3 lines of info: 1. *** Registering -webcal handler. 2. *** Registering text/calendar handler. 3. *** Registering webcal protocol handler. Nvu 0.9 source editor font

I want to change the default font in Nvu 0.9s source code editor to something a little bigger. I downloaded the about:config extension (aboutconfig-0.4-nvu.xpi) but there doesn't seem to be anything relevant. Nvu seems to use a css style 'font-size: -moz-initial;' for the editor font but I can't see how to override this.

Publish doesn't auto-make subfolders at the ISP?

I have one issue, and a friend reports another to me... Are these known issues that will be eventually dealt with? They are very frustrating and I'm surprised they're still in the code... Unable to publish - "file name is same as subdirectory"

I've setup extra logging at my vsftpd server, and can't see any way the editor could have determined this error message it pops up on publishing: The filename "index.html" is already in use by another subdirectory. All I see in my FTP log is a connect, a pwd, type i, and change to PASV. What could be going wrong here? I'm using Mozilla 1.7.5 Any other tips to try to debug this appreciated. Im using Windows XP Pro and Mozilla suite 1.8a5 Matter in question is quick access to Mozilla Composer. Currently to start Composer I need to launch Mail or Browser first, and then use Component bar or Ctrl+Shift+N. Problem reusing the editor

I have an application which use the mozilla ActiveX control and i would lik eto load the editor in this active X using chrome and XUL. BUG: IFrame in designMode disappears when refreshing
