Embedding in Java

Hi, we want to write a Java application with an embedded Browser. Is it possible to do that ? Is there a state-of-the-art framework. I know JRex, but I don't think it compiles with the latest mozilla firefox sources. Is there any other framework ? Another problem is that I cannot compile the firefox sources. I adjusted mozconfig to exclude modules using atlbase.h. And I set the windows target version to 600. It compiles for a few minutes and then stops. The build environment is MSVC version 9. Maybe I can leave out non-compiling code and just build some libs for embedding. Best

Hello I am trying to embed Mozilla browser in my application (with the XULRunner SDK I compiled) and I would have a couple of questions: - Why is the online documentation so outdated, since 2002, and with broken links ? Even the MFC sample is somewhere referred to as obsolete - Is the website the only source of documentation ? Can I also download the documentation ? - How do I know what libraries from the SDK do I need to link with, and what headers do I need to include for a given function ? Online documentation pages seem to omit this information.

Hello, I'm using using the Mozilla ActiveX component successfully but I would like to disable the scrollbars and also to change the UA String. Any one know how? I tried implementing the IDocHostUIHandle interface from the WebBrowser component but did not work. I build a gecko's based browser using seamonkey . We develop such a browser because we use it on automats, without direct interaction with the user. (Special keyboard, no mouse,...) We drive the display using in the chrome loadURI of a nsIWebNavigation object. The problem is that, between each screen, a blank screen appears. it's probably to erase the previous screen. Hello everybody, I am trying to use WebClient (http://www.mozilla.org/projects/ blackwood/webclient/) to embed a browser into a Java application. I managed to create the frame with the browser and to display a HTML page. However, I have some problems with a HTML page with Javascript. All my Javascript scripts work except those which are supposed to open a dialog box (with the methods 'alert()' or 'confirm()'). I don't know where this problem comes from. ActiveX control and automation errors

HI all, I'm getting all kinds of problems with even simple things in IHTMLDocument2 in vb6. At runtime, when I inspect the value of properties like document.all, the value is "application defined or object defined error", while if I attempt to access any such properties, I get an automation error - library not registered. I am trying to split a html page into smaller ones based on the print preview. i.e each page in print preview corresponds to a html file. Hence i need to identify the exact location where the page breaks. I am embedding gecko in serverside. I have the xulrunner build 1.8.0.4 compiled with gcc 3.2.2. I am able to iterate through frame trees and fetch the last one in the page. But if the page breaks in the middle of a text frame, this text frame appears as the last frame in one page and first frame in the next page (continuation frame). How to get the exact word where the page break
