Latest Firefox for old Mac OS X 10.2.8 on an old PowerBook G4 (PPC)?
Hello.
Is Mozilla's Firefox v2.0.0.20 the latest version that can run on a Mac
OS X 10.2.8 on an old PowerBook G4 (PPC)? I know Mozilla still updates
SeaMonkey v1 for this old OS. It seems like Firefox v3 doesn't work in
this old OS.
Thank you in advance. :)

Firefox keyboard shortcuts
I was wondering if any Firefox enthusiasts out there can point me to
some good sites where I might possibly add keyboard shortcuts to the

And for customization, is their any other browsers that have as much

and Flock as well. Opera is my favorite but there are just too many
incompatible Javascript rich sites that make it unworkable unless you
have the patience of a monk. So its finally time to move on.

[ADMIN] mozilla-mac is closing
It should be no secret these days that the Mozilla Foundation and its related projects are no longer a pet project of Netscape, yet until recently, the newsgroups we've been using for public discussions still bore the Netscape name, and our primary news server still lived on AOL (formerly Netscape) hardware. We've been planning for years to move from netscape.public.mozilla.* to just mozilla.*, and this last January, the time finally came!
In August, we announced a partnership with Giganews Newsgroups (http://www.giganews.com/) to provide NNTP services for our news.mozilla.org domain. It

I can't get rid of the noise it plays when it finds a page in the

It seems to be the same as mozilla at this stage so maybe someone here

Running Firefox 1.5 (20051111) on my iBook (OS X version 10.4.3) -- I'm
new to Mac, so this may just be an OS X thing that I'm not hip to,
but... when I click in to the Firefox search bar or hit Apple-K to move
the cursor there, I can type in my query. When I hit enter to execute
the search, however, nothing happens. The cursor stays in the search
bar, and no search is initiated. Any thoughts? I've also tried
combinations like Alt-Enter, Apple-Enter, Ctrl-Enter, and nothing.

Where's the DOMi gone?
After upgrading to 1.5, I no longer have the DOM Inspector. And some
functions of the Web Developer extension no longer work, which is

This is really quite a serious problem for Mac developers. I've had to
go back to 1.07.
There are instructions for Windows users which involve running the
installer again and choosing some custom or advanced install -- but of
course there's no installer for OS X, just drag and drop.
I really think this is a serious omission. Nobody thought Mac FireFox

FIrefox extensions on the Mac
Hi all,
I have firefox 1.5 on a powerbook running 10.3.9.
I am trying to install a few extensions without success.
I keep getting software installation is disabled. Click on options. I
click on the box and a vertical thin line comes up in the middle of the
screen. The software never installs.
Can I just not install extensions on the Mac?
I have looked at the Mozilla website and found nothing.
I am trying to install Adblocker, Filterset.g and Session Saver.
Thank in advance,

I'm using it with OS 9.1 and would like to know how to keep the cache

I've set the disk cache to 5000 kb, but it rapidly becomes very large

Firefox Keyboard problem?
Greetings. I'm using Firefox 1.0.7 on Mac OS 10.4.2. After a few
minutes of running Firefox, my keyboard becomes unresponsive, but just
within firefox. Command functions still work. For example, I can type
something in another application, copy it, and then switch to Firefox
and paste. This works both in forms and in the URL address field.
Quitting and restarting Firefox clears the problem, for a while anyway.
I am not using any Firefox extensions.
Any ideas?

I believe that the Mac SeaMonkey
I believe that the Mac version of Seamonkey will allow you to specify
which hard Drive/folder you want it to store the profile in. It has been
a long time since I launched the profile manager. With the Mozilla suite
when you launched the profile manager to create a new profile there was
an option to specify where you wanted the profile stored. I believe that
if you specified a different location for the SeaMonkey profile than the
Mozilla profile than each program would use its own profile.
Take care with this tip since I haven't tested it out. My best guess is

OS X command line arguments
Hi All,
How do you pass command line arguments such as "-chrome" to the Firefox
executable on OSX without using a terminal window?
I had thought I'd be able to modify the firefox packages info.plist, but
I can find that either.
Cheers,

Can't Type in URL Bar or anywhere else
I'm running OSXv10.3.8 on a 1GHz G4 and new Firefox windows won't allow
me to type in the URL bar or anywhere else. It's as if the browser has
disabled my keyboard. The original window, however, works.
Interesting also is that this doesn't happen in Camino.

Removing support for Mac os Classic in mozilla's js engine
We whish to remove Mac OS Classic from mozilla.org's javascript engine,
which is used in SpiderMonkey (see
<http://www.mozilla.org/js/spidermonkey/>). Is this removal a problem ?
Are there still people using this javascript engine in classic apps ?

Full headers with Mozilla 4.7 for Mac?
I am one of the people reading the email to the abuse address at my ISP
(but I have only advisory status and do *not* have access or privileges
to cancel accounts). One complaint was received recently that did not
include any email headers from the alleged messages from our user. The
sender wrote:

Perceived Software Quality Survey (PESQUS) for Mozilla
Dear Mozilla Developers and Users:
We are conducting empirical research on the quality and interface aspects of
various software. Therefore, we are investigating the quality of Mozilla as
perceived by its users. For this purpose, we have created a short survey. We
would highly appreciate it if you could follow the link below and fill out
this survey:

Like to Report bugs related to the Nightlies based 1.8.a.6 and beyond code for FireFox and Mozilla.
There are two bugs related to FireFox and Mozilla based on 1.8.a.6 and
above code base.
In FireFox and Mozilla the use of Plugins No longer works.
In Mzilla alone if you attempt to save a file with the Save as Command,
if the file happens to have the same exact name of a previous file you
can not cancel the process to change the name. And You in fact have to
do a force Quit.
This happened in a download from Monday and Today.
This is on the MachO version for Mac OSX.
I use Mac OSX.3.7 Mozilla 1.8.a.5

Trying to email a Pdf directly form Acrobat Or Reader.
I use Mozilla as my email client of choice.
I've tried using a feature in Acrobat or Reader to email a PDF directly
from either Acrobat or Reader
I end up with the following error Message :
Sendmail doesn't know how to talk to your preferred mail Client. Please
select a different mail client to use.
I've gone to Mail.app and set in preferences to use Mozilla.
I've also tried Thunderbird.
In information I've found it suggest that Entourage, and mail works with
sendmail. Shouldn't Mozilla. I thought that sendmail is a Standard just
like mbox or W3C.
Should this work?

Newsgroup names truncated - hate it!
I would like to use Mozilla 1.3.1 for reading newsgroups, but hate the
way it (and Netscape 7xx) truncate the newsgroup names - eg this group
shows as n.p.m.mac in Mozilla, but in Communiator 4..79 the name is
shown in full.
As I peruse 60 or so newsgroups I find it very difficult to know which
is which with the names abreviated.
I don't want to use a dedicated newsreader, and will stay with
Communicator 4.79 if there is no cure for Mozilla, but thought I'd ask
if there is a cure first.
Cheers
David

I found this great little site
I found this great little site. I signed up two weeks ago and got 2 Disney tickets and this week they are sending me 2 Universal Studios tickets. Here's the link http://66.219.102.40/ and by the way I am a real person, this is my real email address. I'm not a spammer and didn't appreciate the nasty email I got last time I tried to post this link.
Thanks, Lisa
