Zoom won't "stick"
When I surf to a new page, I have to zoom each one twice before the print is
large enough to read. How can I get the Zoom level to stick between
pages/tabs, or even between sessions? To me, this is a serious flaw in the
program, and significantly reduces it's functionality and the length of time
that I can remain at the computer internet related work.

Where is Afterburner when we need him?
91.56.55.125:7207 open socks4 proxy was used on 24 November for a
Hipcrime attack on nanae. And I got the port number by Googling so it
must have been open and was probably abused before that date.
It was used late North American Monday for a Hipcrime attack on
24hoursupport.helpdesk and the same open proxy was still there Tuesday
at 9343 GMT.
At one time, RCN (formerly Erols) had the famous Afterburner on its
abuse desk. Now, it seems to have Dave Null.
Remember - go to RCN for your net-abuse needs. You put up a phishing
page? It will still be up on Valentine Day. You can get G

editing repeat events in Sunbird
When editing repeat events, Sunbird offers the option to amend either the
current instance or all instances.
It would be useful to have additional options for 'this and all future
instances' and 'all instances between [date] and [date]'
Also, could the user opt to view only events in one or more selected
categories, instead of all events?
I am putting together a calendar for a swimming club, with various different
groups of swimmers and sessions for each group. These repeat weekly but from
time to time the details (eg locationor time) change for a period. It is a

Suggestion: Auto-loading multiple tabs on startup
Great browser!
One suggestion that would be useful to developers:
- Allow the automatic loading of multiple tabs, each loading a
separate URL.
- Startup-tabs and corresponding URLs could be based on what
tabs were opened on last program-exit.
- Optionally, multiple startup-tabs could be designated under
Options similiarly to the Home page.

Shortcut Bar
Does anyone else using Firefox have their Shortcut Bar re-enable itself when
they launch their Firefox browser? I disable the shortcuts toolbar and after
I close Firefox it enables itself again the next time I launch the browser.
Aside from that I'm very pleased with the Firefox browser, I would like to
see an erase history button like the one built into Netscape latest browser
offering. Firefox is a great browser that works faster for the people who
are still using dial-up connections.

Auto refresh missing emailfolders on Imap Thunderbird
A subscribed email folder is not automatically updated ( bold counts ) in
the sense that you have to click on it to become aware of unread email. I am
talking Thunderbird 1.5.0.4 using Imap.
When you have a lot of folders in a corporate environment, this is not
workable since you don't want to spend your time clicking on emailfolders to
see if there is any email.

Suggestion: implementing a function to "reload" last visited firefox windows and tabs
** Foreword **
I'm not a programmer so can't imagine how trivial or cumbersome my next
request may sound. So please accept my apologies in advance if you believe I
make you waste time!
** The situation **
I'm used to surf every single night, for several hours, and that leads me to
open and close a huge number of windows, each one containig a considerable
amount of tabs. Nevertheless, I end without succeeding to read everything
that has popped up, so the only thing left is to close everything and browse
the history window the day after.
** The problem **
By doing so, I

Transporting the messagefilters rules in thunderbird and mozilla-mailer
Hello to all of you,
Is there a simple way to copy filter rules file "msgFilterRules" or to
store it on a network location. So that all my thunderbird and mozilla
mailers can use one "msgFilterRules"- file???
Or is there a simple way to export the file???
To search for the file each time is also not funny.
I'm working with imap on a windows laptop, desktop :-( and a view linux
systems :-).
Kind regards

[ADMIN] mozilla-qa-general is moving!
It should be no secret these days that the Mozilla Foundation and its related projects are no longer a pet project of Netscape, yet the newsgroups we are using for public discussions still bear the Netscape name. We've been planning for years to move from netscape.public.mozilla.* to just mozilla.*, and the time has finally come!
In August, we announced a partnership with Giganews Newsgroups (http://www.giganews.com/) to provide NNTP services for our news.mozilla.org domain. It's taken a few months of planning to make it happen, but we're now in the process of moving all of those newsgrou

Feature
There is feature I would like to see implemented in a browser.
At work I repeatedly access resources on both the Internet and the
organisational intranet using Google and /intranet respectively as
jumping off points. There is always Bookmarks/Favorites but it would be
more efficient if I could access the intranet by operating say [Shift]+
{click-home-button} then I wouldn't have to read and navigate the screen

newsgroup server change?
For too many reasons to list here I use a very old netscape (4.8) and
I'm okay with it generally. Today I'm told that the news server I use
will change from
news-text.therestofthename
to
text.news.therestofthename
I hate the idea of deleting the server and losing all my killfiles
ignore marks, stuff like that. Is there a way in 4.8 that I could
change just the name of the server? I looked at edit on the news
server section but it only offers the option for password protection.
thanks

password and program opening..
Question/Comment: I like Thunderbird.. However the one step that should be
corrected is when using a Master Password..
When I used Outlook Express - It asked for my password before even opening
Outlook.. This helped protect my emails from those that are not allowed..
However with Thunderbird - It opens the program which can be seen along with
emails and then asks for the password before allowing one to go further...
Having the password entered before the program even opens - is a must... Is
this something that you can change ???
Thanks for listening (reading)..

Pop3 Flags/Attributes Idea
Perhaps this is an old idea? I use Yahoo Pop3 service and take advantage
of Yahoo's anti-spam system. However, when a spam email gets through
to my client there's no way to flag it as spam to be registered back at the
server for spam filter training. The other scenario also applies. Although
I
can (obviously) move misfiled good messages out of the client spam box I
can't tell the POP3 server that it wasn't spam for filter training.
So I have to log in and use the web interface to update the server's flags.
Perhaps the next POP protocol or POP3 extension could support some so

Why bother about this bug?
Simply because it REALLY turns users away from FF. The

Where to store the file bookmarks.html

why is it not possible to choose the place where the file bookmarks.html

Thunderbird: forwarding in message filter
I'd like to forward messages under certain conditions to another email
address. In Outlook Express this is possible (automatically, without
manual intervention) using a message filter. I don't know how to do this
in Thunderbird as the UI is not identical. Is it possible?
thanks

text marker within browser
could someone direct me to a browser add-on,
which enable a user to highlight/mark certain text,
similar to the google text highlighting, but a user controllable.
Its main objective is assist the user while reading browser content:
e.g.
1) after getting google search results, highlight the most subject-related
link.
2) while reading web info, for lets say university work, I would like to
highlight certain text

Firefox getting obese and.....buggy!
I just want to see if I am the only one experiencing problems lately with
Firefox newer versions...
After being surprised by F/Fox's version 1 speed and elegence, I am
unfortunately being obliged to revert to using MS/IE due to lots of problems
with F/Fox's latest versions.
I am now using: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.7.8)
Gecko/20050511 Firefox/1.0.4
and it's literally infested with bugs....
It takes ages to start. It freezes for no apparent reason. It freezes every
time I try to open an Acrobat page. All in all I am lamentably begging to
find MS/IE attractive again..

Problem sharing downloaded files
Problem sharing downloaded files.
I have a shared folder named Download on computer Gil. I use simple

Firefox [1.04] or Netscape [7.2], and I try to access that file from

\\Gil\downloads\filename was denied. If I dl the file using IE or Opera

To be specific, I have dl'ed a file myuninst.zip from

Firefox update bug
There seems to be a bug in the update procedure in Firefox - or there _was_
in version 1.0.2. I clicked on the little red icon in the top right of the
Firefox screen, and was told that an update was available for download,
which I quickly started. When it came to the automatic installation, the
program split into two, telling me on one screen that the update had
finished and to re-start my computer (running Windows XP SP1). The other
told me that I was about to install Firefox 1.0.3. This was not what I
wanted at that time, so put that window into the background and continued

Thunderbird unfriendly behavior
I am using this space because I did not find any way of making just a
feedback on using the application instead of a bug report.
I admire the software Mozilla build, my default browser is the Firefox.
I have installed the Thunderbird email client, because I was trying to
avoid using Microsoft Outlook Express. My email rules was not imported !
No problem, although the Thunderbird email rules form is not as easy to
fill as Outlook, I have rebuild all my email rules. I didn't find a way to
move
automatically incoming messages to a specific folder.

I reported a bug : https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=246233
I can't be sure that this bug is a real one, as
I don't know how to triger the execution of the
dbm/src/h_page.c::open_temp function.
Where should I ask for some hints ?
