Sidebar changing size.

I hope I'm asking this question to the right group. After months of using Google Sidebar with no problems both my wife and myself on our seperate computors have experienced problems with it...In my case the photos I have running through it have become about a fifth the size they were . In my wife's case the whole sidebar suddenly doubled in width so that it is taking up about one third of the width of the screen. Neither of us can find answers to these irritations.

Hi, I am a two days experience developer of a firefox extension and found an issue I don't know how to solve precisely: a) I put a global observer on 'http-on-modify-request' and 'http-on-examine-response' topics. b) Then I want to know from what browser tab the request/response observer is called from. For example: if you have five browser tabs opened, and you go to an url in the second tab I would like to know that the observe function is called from the second tab request. In mozilla mail, when you open a mail composer and input multiple addresses(over 5) in to the To field, a scrollbar will be appeared. Go to the bottom entry of To field and highlight some content then drag it, there will be some document like icon appeared. alternatively, you may click on the entry and then hold the left button of the mice (no document like icon appeard), then drag it. In the first case, you may put the hightlight part somewhere else, but the scollbar will not scroll as you go outside the box. in the second case, the scrollbar will scroll as you go outside the box.

XUL Dialog... Knowing if the user pressed OK or cancel...

Ok... Call me a noob WRT XUL. I am writing an extension to Thunderbird. In that process I have added a field or two to a dialog box using an overlay. The dialog doesn't have an id. I also have added an unload event handler to know when the user closes the dialog. My question is, how do I know the method they used to close the dialog (OK, Cancel, etc)? I would have liked to change the ondialogaccept attribute to call one of my functions, but that attribute is already being used. I tried registering an event listener for dialogaccept but that event isn't fired. Am I missing some

Hi, I like to use firefox multiple tabs as a admin tool. While doing so I use the same 6 or 7 web pages in firefox browser tabbed windows. Does anyone know if there is any way to save and restore (preserve) my working set (pages in tabs) so, I don't have set the tabs every time I start firefox? I like to be able to click on desktop icon and have all 6 or seven pages open in their respective tabs. Is this possible? If so please post directions. my extension's update doesn't seem to work

Hi all, I had a text field in my extension which had some default value , say value1. Now, I changed it to have default value as "maulin vasavada" and rebuild the XPI file. I have created the update.rdf file and put on my Tomcat and configured the mime-type for .xpi in my tomcat4.1's web.xml. Also, I made sure that it is going to my server when I click on "Update" by stopping the server and running into the error. I hope I am having correct update.rdf content. UI idea for making filters

Sometimes I get an email from a new mailing list I've signed up for and want to create a filter for it, so that all new mail from that list will go into that list's folder. But the current method of creating and managing filters could stand to be less cumbersome for situations like this. What if I could right-click on the email's name in the list pane and have an option that reads something like "Create Filter" whereupon clicking it I will be shown the filters dialog box with a filter already half-created using the email's source and/or title. Accessing Searchbar text via Javascript extension?

I'm writing a standard XUL/Javascript/CSS extension for Firefox. I'd like to have access (read/write if possible) to the Searchbar's text. Is there any way to do this? I tried all afternoon, and I haven't found anything. I've had no trouble accessing the searchbar element. But as far as I can tell, it contains no attribute or child node with the box's text. default mail server for outgoing mail

I don't where to post this, but I am on 1.7.3 and this version of Mozilla Mail will NOT change default outgoing mail servers. I can have 3 defined and it will take the top one no matter which one is indicated as the default. Version 1.5 makes the change correctly. But to get 1.7.3 to change default outgoing mail servers one must delete all the mail servers until the one you want is at the top and then put them back in (which makes them go below the others). I think this is a bug and should be fixed. I don't where to report bugs, so I am posting it to this news group. Ji

how to get access over template generated textbox

hallo list, my template with rdf-datasource as background produce a lot of textbox elements. there is also a save button to get the new values of the textboxes, a js funtion should save the data as facts to my rdf-datasource. fine, but how to get the values of the textbox elements? i tried to define id's for any elements, but in templates they dont work, they just refer to the xul-elements not, not the produced content by the template... any suggestion is welcome! markus

I saw somebody out there built a close tab button that shows up on the tabs. I had this on my FireFox 0.8 but cannot find it anymore :[ Does anybody out there know who wrote this little extension? I greatly miss it. I'd even love to take over the maintenance of the little project to tweak it a little to act more like Eclipses implementation (ie - sweet). That close tab button on the right side simply does me no good. I have to move my mouse around too much.
