User Agent addition for SeaMonkey
I'm using SeaMonkey v1.1.11. Occasionally I encounter a website that
tells me I need to use a supported browser such as Firefox or IE. Since
these websites don't recognize that SeaMonkey is based on Firefox, it
would be nice if Firefox was added to the list in the User Agent
selector. IE7 should be added too. Thanks!

Locking a view for newsgroups in Thunderbird
Hi,
I'd like to be able to lock the view, sorted and threaded and in the
order I like. Its too easy to click just above the top posting and
accidentally re-sort by whatever criteria was clicked. It just is
frustrating to have to go and re-configure the layout.
I've looked through the ng and haven't seen if the issue has been discussed.

A cool new way to search Google, Yahoo, and many others with Netscape
Hello everyone,
We've developed a new search feature for the Netscape browser. You can
see a short demo of us using this on Google here:
http://www.visual-search.net/VideoDemonstrations/NetscapeWebDemo/NetscapeWebDemo.html
You can download the extension on this page:
http://www.visual-search.net
or on the Firefox addons page (they work for Netscape as well):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/5309
I hope everyone in the Netscape community likes this as much as we do!

I found a web site which there is a lot of Runescape Gold(GBP) that is

It's another free MMORPG, I believe. (It does require a small

Help > check for updates
This seems like a simple request. Can anyone make it easier to
upgrade FF to the newest version? Apparently "check for updates" only
checks for updates to the current version, not to see if there is a
newer version available.
It would be so much easier if we had a separate line to check for an
upgrade. It's Mother's Day, so do it for us "Mothers".
;)
thanks

Thunderbird 2.0
I installed it for about a half an hour, then went back to v1.5. Glad I
was still able to find a copy of v1.5.
1) Why did you get rid of the message views selection (All, Unread,
Last 5 Days, Recent Mail, etc)? This is the reason I uninstalled
v2.
2) There's a bug (feature?) in v1.5 that I'd hoped you fixed but
it's still in v2: When viewing messages by threads, reading
the first message collapses the whole thread, so typing "n"
or hitting the spacebar to advance to the next message instead
advances to the next thread.
Is this the right place to repo

"Mark as junk" consistency in mail and news, subject and sender?
The "Mark as junk" option for news messages is greyed out (basically
because implementing killfiles is an unassigned enhancement request, I
think). If somebody is going to implement such a thing I'd like to see
the ability to see "Mark this message as junk" for email messages
(clicking on the message or the subject), but for news: "Mark this
posting as junk" and "Mark this thread as junk". Also, when clicking on
the Sender the options should include "Mark all from this sender as junk".

but when I see the filter log (which sometimes can be very long), there
is no way to search for particular log lines (nor to sort, select etc).
This is a nuisance when I want to find out what filter decided to move
(or whatever) a particular message. Ideally, I'd like to be able to
click on the message and see an option to see its entry/entries in the
filter log, and maybe even change the filter to avoid it doing that in
the future! But a simple Find when viewing the log will suffice!

Spell checking enhancement - a filter
There are several improvements/bugfixes that others have suggested, and
more that I can think of, for the spelling checker that could be solved
with one extra feature: the ability to call an external script/filter
when a spelling mistake is found but before the pop-up complains of the
mistake and offers alternatives.
This is the way I imagine it would work: when spell-checking the
document, if a word is found that seems to be an error then an external
program is called with one command-line parameter, the dubious word, and
the entire line is fed into its stdin. The program ha

HELP...! I'm trying to make the jump from NetScape to FireFox, and could use some help or advice
Hi folks,
Well, I've been with Netscape since ver. 1, and am use to moving the
pointer to a hot link and the full link showing up on the last line of
Netscape. Not so with FireFox. The last line in FF is a collection
of files I have downloaded.
Can I delete these downloads on the bottom line without deleting the
files themselves?
Is there a way I can move the pointer over a hotlink and it show the
full URL somewhere on the FF window?
Also, Netscape 8.2 has a very nice feature when one highlights a like

Regular Expressions in Searchs and Filters??
This is a major oversight, I must be missing something here- I can't

Regular expressions are are really easy to implement, there's tons of

I also can't search <any header> like in Eudora?

In Eudora, you can stack search criteria, as in:

googling "feedmarks" shows other people implicitly making this same suggestion :-)
"feedmarks" is also being used by domainsitter types, but how to know whether "feedmarks" has been copyrighted etc??
which leads me to wonder generally: can certain phrases can't be "registered" as public by GNU or similar biz/pol mechanism

in the case of "feedmarks", unless already copytighted (nice typo?) years ago, the word is "safe" because it's already in general

Patching HTML Table Caption Element in Firefox
I have had enough of the failure of Mozilla/Firefox to follow the HTML
specification for styling the CAPTION element.
I am going to patch the code myself and submit the patche(s) for

However, I would appreciate if someone could give me a heads-up on what
source files to look at for fixing how the Caption element is positioned
within the Table element.
I am particularly interested in the code that renders Caption with respect
to the Table element when the user applies CSS to it: namely when the user
specifies the "margin" properties.

What am trying to achieve is dragging an element from one IFRAME/FRAME into

dropping external files, into the browser window, and the browser window

Tab hierarchy/ordering and focus
Tabbed browsing has come a long way...with the option to force new

When one closes a window, regardless of OS/GUI, focus is returned to
the next most recently active window, it would be nice if the same were
true of tabs within Firefox.

deleted instead of going to the Trash.

WISH FF Tabbed browsing functionality - new Feature request/suggestion
I use "open in tabs" for the contents of a bokmark folder.
I want an easier way to delete the tab I'm looking at Now from that folder.
Right Mouse Click shows Reload/BookMark This Tab, etc.
Adding a "Delete this tab from Bookmarks" would make sense and I'd
like to see it added.
It woud same me from pulling down the folder and figuring out which
entry is ealeted to teh Tab I'm looking at.
Thanks.

Don't blame me. I voted for Gore. Proudly then, even more so in hindsight.

Create Filter From Thread
This is more of a *need* and less of a wish, if I'm going to fully
switch to TBird...
I want to be able to right-click a message and send its thread to a
folder... for now and all time. That is, I want to automatically
create a filter that sends any incoming messages in the same thread to
the same folder.
Thanks for listening,
Dave

What's the story about bug 2920?
I debut this forum with a little confusion/irritation about bug 2920;
deleting attachments (in stored e-mail). At bug 2920 home page it
states "resolved/fixed". Now, it seems to take a wile to decode that
kind of developers correspondanse, so it still leaves without a clue.
Thus Alas! Can anyone give a straight foreward answer to this:
Can I, or can I not delete attachments in stored e-mail (local folder)
using Mozilla Suite mail application?
Sincerely...

question
mozilla is downloading things and writing them to cache all the time,
and it goes transparent, then why when you download, even if is just an
image that already is in cache and that appeared on the screen quite
fast or whatever, everything freezes ridiculously long and is such a
pain in the a$$, when it should be quite similar to download and write
to cache?

Whitelist for cookies
I am looking for a way to set cookies for a small amount of sites.
Usually I like to have all cookies expire after closing firefox. I
wondered why my logins didn't work anymore.
I'm not sure if something changed in firefox or I was never able to
autologin if I deleted my cookies.
If cookies are needed to autologin to my favorite sites is there a way
to keep the list of only the cookies I want? There are only 15 to 20
sites I need to keep cookies for. I could then let all other cookies
expire.
Firefox and Mozilla ROCK!
Keep up the good work!
